Our full service process takes a project from conception through completion with LAVA leading the design services, procuring all goods, and overseeing the production including Construction Administration for the project. We work closely alongside Architects and General Contractors, as well as other Consultants to fully realize custom interiors.

Our approach is a proprietary process that is based in the traditional phases of Interior Design and Architecture working through Conceptual and Schematic Design, with the addition of bespoke services to fully engage the client’s aesthetic, like personalized in-person sourcing trips to trade-only vendors. At the culmination of the process, the project will be styled and professionally photographed with the opportunity to be published.

An in person consultation is a prerequisite for full service design projects.

When our client would like us to perform the Planning of the project, but perform their own Procurement of product and Project Management including Construction Administration, Design Only allows us to fully create a room with customized design based on the client’s aesthetic and budget. We create scaled furniture plans with room dimensions given to us, a corresponding line item budget, and a conceptual imagery board. Once approved, we source all product that is available for purchase by the public and create a detailed specification list of all product details for the client to order themselves.

When full service isn’t desired but an extended period of time is required to help advance project work, monthly à la carte allows our clients to lead the scope and deliverables. Our monthly service offers valuable guidance along the way to reduce errors in the complexity of how things come together over the course of a project.

Work performed can include sourcing, drafting, renderings, and most typical full service work but without a formal process or in-person meetings. Should sourcing be requested, vendors will be limited to retail options as purchasing and procurement is excluded from consulting, therefore trade-only and custom sourcing will not be suggested.

Half or full day increments.

In-person consultations take place on site, where Meg brings her expertise and trained eye into your space to discuss anything design related face to face. She’ll advise on renovation ideas, furniture plan layouts, potential color palettes, lighting direction, potential opportunities or challenges for design based on the architecture, and even meet with your contractors to provide guidance from general concepts to design details.

The homeowner will lead the consultation in asking Meg any questions that need an Interior Designer’s professional advice. The consultation is contained to the two hours scheduled, and is a prerequisite for all full-service projects. Following the consultation, a customized Proposal can be developed outlining the scope, budget, and timeline should the client want to continue with our full-service design services.

The virtual consultation takes place via zoom with Meg Lavalette and can be either 30 minutes, 1 hour, or 2 hours. She can answer your questions and guide your decisions regarding space planning, material selection, millwork, sourcing, styling, millwork, palette and renovation.

You can show your space over video, put together a presentation with photos and/or links to walk through over screen-share, or simply chat and take notes. The time is yours to use however is most helpful for you.
