LAVA | loft is our shoppable short term stay located in Franklin, New York, in the great western Catskill mountains on the second floor of a 12,000 sq ft historic Italianate brick structure c.1869 we purchased in 2021 as an investment to restore and preserve history.

The loft was conceived as a means to experience living in a curated space furnished with a selection of globally sourced items that can include pieces by French modernist icons like Jean Prouvé and Charlotte Perriand.

The loft was fully renovated and designed in 2022 by Meg, the founder of LAVA | interiors, and sits directly above LAVA | atelier, Meg’s shop on Main Street in the charming historic village of Franklin. The concept is to encourage living in a minimalistic but elevated manner.

One of a kind vintage, antique, and local artisan furniture, lighting, and art are rotated throughout the space to create an unique environment for our guests - all of which are available for purchase.

All reservations and communication regarding the loft is through airbnb here, including pick up and UPS shipping of items currently in the loft in order to coordinate with the guest calendar.
